A functional solution to missing teeth – Dental Implants

For years, sometimes for a lifetime, a person might ‘put up’ with difficulties in their life.

We see a significant number of patients at our clinic with loose and or uncomfortable teeth or dentures. It shouldn’t have to be something that people should live with and I feel privileged to be able to provide many of these patients with something better.

The picture below is of a patient who attended our clinic because they wanted something to improve the current denture they were wearing. The denture was loose in function, poor aesthetically and generally uncomfortable. Despite all of these issues, the patient was able to live with these dentures for over 5 years prior to seeing us at our clinic.

The human body and mind is incredibly strong. We are a resilient species who are able to put up with difficulties and continue to go on living our lives. It may not be the best quality of life, but we still manage.

We have the utmost respect for all of the patients who cope with these difficulties everyday and when we get the opportunity to provide an alternative solution to improve someone’s life I feel honoured to perform this treatment.

Our patient in this example wanted to improve this problem. We were able to provide her with dental implant supported teeth to provide her with comfortable teeth which could function without becoming loose. We spent time designing an appropriate smile for her and ultimately this led to a smile which the patient had stated ‘changed her life’. The confidence to bite, smile, talk and laugh with ease had all been restored. Our patient is delighted.
