Worry Not, Help Is At Hand…

What Treatment May I Need?

During the emergency appointment the Dentist will complete a full assessment and do everything possible to relieve your pain. Further treatment may then be recommended to permanently resolve any dental problems.

The most common treatments required following an emergency appointment are:

In some cases it may not possible to save your tooth and your Dentist may advise that an extraction is required. If this is the case do not worry as at Infinity Dental Clinic we can replace missing teeth and will advise on the most appropriate treatment for you.

What to do if You Have Toothache?

Please get in touch for an emergency dental appointment with our Dentists if you are suffering with toothache and we will advise the appropriate treatment plan. If you need to control the pain until your appointment, Paracetamol and Ibuprofen can often work well. Please only take if you have no medical contraindication and ensure you read the label, not exceeding the maximum amount.

What if There is a Facial Swelling?

If there is any sign of a facial swelling, please contact us straight away to arrange an assessment and diagnosis. A swelling may indicate an abscess or infection. Depending on the cause of the swelling, a suitable plan can be carried out to prevent further spread of infection.

What if a Crown Has Come Off?

If a crown has fallen out, please keep it clean, safe and secure and arrange an appointment to come as see us for an assessment. Where appropriate, the crown can be cleaned an re cemented. If this is not possible, alternative advice will be provided for how to replace the tooth.

What to do if Your Denture Has Broken?

If your denture has broken, please keep it clean and secure and bring it to an emergency appointment at our clinic. Please do not try and repair the denture yourself as this can prevent future repairs with the dental laboratory. Usually dentures can be repaired by the following day, though this will be assessed by one of our Dentists.
