Many patients come to us after being told that all of their teeth need to be removed. For some, that news feels overwhelming, especially when they are already anxious about dental treatment. This patient arrived in exactly that position, having been advised elsewhere that full extraction was his only option.
After carrying out a detailed assessment, we found a very different picture.

While several teeth were beyond saving and needed replacing, many remaining teeth were still healthy and restorable. Preserving these teeth was incredibly important because keeping healthy natural teeth wherever possible provides major long-term benefits. Natural teeth help maintain better speech, stronger chewing ability, improved comfort and a more natural overall feeling. In this case, saving those healthy teeth allowed us to provide a more predictable and less invasive treatment plan with excellent long-term potential.

We carefully replaced around 70% of the upper teeth while improving the health and appearance of the lower teeth to create a balanced and natural result. Throughout the process, the patient was never left without teeth. Using same-day fixed teeth, he walked out with a confident smile from day one.
The final upper restoration was supported by just four implants carrying 11 teeth, creating a smile that is aesthetic, functional and natural-looking.
One of the patient’s biggest goals was achieving an FP1 result. FP1 refers to the most natural type of full arch implant restoration, where the replacement teeth appear to emerge naturally from the gums, much like real teeth. This is considered the gold standard aesthetically because there is no bulky pink acrylic or artificial gum material visible when smiling.

Achieving a true FP1 outcome requires meticulous planning and careful gum sculpting. In this case, we precisely shaped and guided the gum tissues throughout treatment to create natural contours around the final teeth. This attention to detail allowed the final smile to look soft, realistic and highly natural rather than appearing artificial or oversized.
The result was not simply a new smile, but a restoration that feels natural, functions beautifully and gives the patient confidence again.
