When this patient first came to see us, he knew his teeth needed attention, but he was understandably concerned about what treatment might involve.
He had only two remaining upper teeth and was wearing an upper denture that he described as not being very good. It lacked stability and retention, meaning he relied on large amounts of denture adhesive just to keep it in place.
His lower teeth were also heavily worn, with several back teeth missing. Overall, his bite had collapsed over time, making his teeth appear shorter and less visible when he smiled.
Worried About a Long Treatment Journey
Before coming to Infinity Dental Clinic, he had explored dental implants elsewhere. He had been advised that he was a complex case, hence coming to see us at Infinity.
His goals were actually quite simple. He wanted something better and more secure for his upper teeth, he wanted to improve the lower teeth and he wanted his new teeth to be longer and more visible when he smiled.

Creating a New Upper Smile
Following a detailed assessment and careful planning, we were able to provide him with an upper FP3 full arch implant restoration.
FP3 treatment allows us to replace not only the missing teeth but also the lost gum and tissue volume as part of the restoration. This can be particularly useful where someone has experienced significant tooth and bone loss over many years.
For this patient, it gave us the opportunity to completely redesign the upper smile, improving the position, length and appearance of his teeth while providing a secure implant-supported solution.

A Huge Change

We have gone from two remaining upper teeth and an unstable denture held in with adhesive to a beautifully designed, fixed implant smile.
Cases like this are a great reminder that implant dentistry isn’t always about creating something dramatically different. Sometimes it is simply about giving someone strong, secure and natural-looking teeth that finally feel like they belong.
