It is always rewarding when a patient keeps returning years later for more implant treatment, not because something has gone wrong, but because the trust built during previous treatment gives them confidence to improve things again.
A patient who first came to see us back in 2019 returned recently to complete another stage of her dental implant journey with us.
When we first met, she had missing and failing back teeth which were affecting both her chewing and confidence. Over the course of treatment, we placed multiple dental implants to restore those areas. She was delighted with the improvement, not only could she eat far more comfortably again, but she also felt much happier with the overall appearance and stability of her teeth.

Since then, she has continued to see both us and her regular dentist. That’s something many patients ask about, and it’s important to know that having more complex treatment with us does not mean you lose your place with your own dentist. We regularly work alongside general dental practices and can share records, radiographs and treatment notes to help provide joined-up care.
More recently, the patient returned to us because her long-standing upper front bridge had unfortunately failed. As you can see from the photos, there was gum recession and bone loss around the existing teeth. The bridge had become mobile and infection was present.
Having already experienced the benefits of implant treatment, she decided she wanted a more long-term solution for the upper front teeth too. We placed two implants to support a four-tooth implant bridge.

Treatment was carried out gradually and carefully over time, but the final result has been incredibly rewarding for everyone involved. She now has a smile she feels truly confident in again which is natural, healthy and comfortable.
One of the nicest parts of this case is the ceramic work. The new teeth avoid the overly opaque or “blocky” appearance that older bridges can sometimes have, instead giving a much softer and more natural aesthetic.
We’re really pleased with the outcome and look forward to continuing to work closely with her regular dentist to help maintain her oral health for many years to come.
