I’ve just finished treatment for a young patient I’m genuinely so happy for, and I wanted to share his story because it highlights something I feel strongly about: good dentistry is not about removing teeth unnecessarily. It’s about listening, assessing properly, and finding the right plan for the person sitting in the chair.

He first attended extremely anxious and quite defeated. He had been told elsewhere that he would lose all of his teeth. At such a young age, that was overwhelming for him, and it wasn’t what he wanted, either emotionally or financially. Understandably, it had knocked his confidence and left him unsure where to turn next.

When he came to Infinity Dental, we started from the beginning. He had periodontal disease, but that doesn’t automatically mean full tooth loss. We carried out a thorough assessment and carefully analysed which teeth could be stabilised and saved long term. Once we had a clear picture, we talked through the options in plain terms and built a plan that made sense for him.

The goal was always to be as conservative as possible. Instead of removing everything, we focused on stabilising the remaining teeth and replacing only what truly couldn’t be saved. In the end, we replaced just his four upper front incisors. For a young patient, preserving the rest of his natural teeth was incredibly important.
