Incremental smile improvements

This patient attended our clinic wanting a better smile and healthier teeth.

After careful assessment we found that the best solution would consist of replacing her failing upper front teeth with dental implants. However, not all of her teeth needed replacing. Many of her teeth had huge potential to survive – and survive well into the future! The recession on some of her teeth was treatable using a gum graft procedure and the aesthetics of her exisitng teeth could also be removed with a combination of teeth whitening and composite bonding.

By replacing only the front failing teeth (due to advanced bone loss) whilst providing treatment to save her exisitng teeth, we felt we could provide a healthy long term smile transformation that would look perfect for our patient.

That is exactly what we did and the patient trusted us with our plan. She now has the perfect smile that she chose and is happy with. She also has many of her own teeth still in her mouth amongst dental implants that have repalced her failing teeth.

Sometimes we can provide incremental treatment throughout the mouth to provide the most optimum long term outcomes for our patients. All of the treatment required in this case was provided in-house as our team are able to provide all aspects of dentistry under one roof. This enables us to do what is right for each tooth rather than what we can simply do for convenience. We can never grow teeth back so sometimes, it really is worth holding onto them without any compromise!

This case shows how Dental Implants and existing teeth can provide a uniform smile together.
