This particular case, however, held special significance for our team. At the end of last year, it was the very first same-day teeth procedure carried out in our new Harrogate clinic, making it a memorable milestone for everyone involved.
What made the experience even more exciting was the unique setup of our new Harrogate facility. With our state-of-the-art dental laboratory located just upstairs from the clinic, our clinical and laboratory teams were able to work seamlessly together throughout the patient’s treatment. This close collaboration helped ensure every detail was carefully planned and delivered efficiently, while allowing the patient to benefit from a smooth, comfortable experience in our beautiful new surroundings.

From the moment she arrived for her consultation, it was always going to be about much more than teeth. Our patient was understandably extremely nervous and emotional. She felt physically sick with anxiety at her first appointment and found it difficult to talk about her dental experiences. With time, reassurance and support from our team, she began to share her story and trust that things could finally change.
She had spent several years living in the United States, where dental treatment was expensive and while living there on a visa, she often felt unable to access the care she needed.
On returning to the UK, she was aware it was time for a fresh start. Unfortunately, years of dental problems had already taken their toll.
Unable to access the treatment she needed, her dental health continued to deteriorate. One tooth fractured after damage to already weakened enamel, and a later trauma resulted in the loss of several back teeth. She also struggled with a crown that had been replaced several times but repeatedly became loose, leaving her constantly worried about swallowing it. Many of her remaining teeth had become loose and unstable, affecting her confidence and making everyday life increasingly difficult.

Yet despite everything, she was ready to take this step to rebuild her smile and her life.
She had bought her own home in Knaresborough. Her children were now grown up. After years of feeling controlled by circumstances and by others, she had reached a point where she wanted to make a decision for herself.

Together, we created a treatment plan to restore both her upper and lower arches with same-day implant teeth.
Thanks to the close collaboration between our Harrogate clinical team and laboratory team upstairs, every stage of the process was carefully coordinated. For a patient who had lived with anxiety and uncertainty for so many years, being able to receive treatment in such a calm, supportive environment made a real difference.
The procedure went beautifully, and from the moment she received her new smile, the transformation was remarkable.
Since then, she has completed her treatment journey and recently returned to receive her final upper and lower implant restorations.
