THE STAGES OF
Implant Retained Dentures
At Infinity Dental Clinic, we use the latest, most advanced CBCT scanner and intra oral digital scanners to provide our patients with the highest standards of dental implant treatment. Our scanners also enable us to meticulously plan your treatment to reduce treatment times and improve outcomes. Our team is very passionate and dedicated in providing the highest standards in Implant dentistry.
1. Consultation
Following your CBCT scan and consultation with our expert Dental Implant Surgeon, Dr Mohsin Patel, you will be provided with a detailed bespoke dental report. This will include the clinical and radiographic findings, the treatment options, timescales, what the procedures will involve and the associated fees.
2. Implant Consultation
Dental Implant placement is a minor oral surgery procedure, performed under the same Local Anaesthesia used in routine dental treatments. Alternatively we can provide the treatment using sedation if you are anxious about the appointment. The Implants are placed into the bone replicating the tooth root. If bone regeneration was planned at the consultation stage then this is usually done at the same time as the Dental Implant placement. The area is then closed and the implants are allowed to integrate. You will be provided with temporary teeth to wear throughout the process, so you are not left for any time without teeth.
3. Implant Integration
Dental Implants can take between 6 weeks and 3 months to integrate or ‘bond’ with the underlying bone. You should expect to feel little or no pain during this period. You can continue to wear your temporary teeth throughout this time.
4. Implant Retained Denture Manufacture
Once integrated, the Dental Implants are ready to have the denture fitted over the top. We are one of only a few dental practices in the UK to provide the latest Digital Dental techniques enabling us to perform Implant Dentistry with optimum precision. Our in house CBCT Scanner and Digital Scanners allows us to provide the highest standards in Dentistry at our clinic.
We work with an experienced prosthodontics technical team specialising in making Implant Retained Dentures.
5. Implant Retained Dentures
The stages of constructing an Implant Retained Denture are similar to making a conventional denture, however, the Implant Retained Denture will ‘clip’ onto the dental implants. This will securely ‘lock’ the denture in place.
Alternatively, we can provide a customised bar to provide additional rigid support for our patient’s who require extra stability. This is beneficial for patients who require absolutely no movement of their teeth in the mouth. If you prefer the idea of completely fixed teeth, we also offer full arch dental implants and Same Day Dental Implants using All-on-four or All-on-Six.

At Infinity Dental Clinic we understand that your time is valuable, and so we aim to complete it in as timely manner as possible. Dental implant treatment on average will take 3-6 months to complete.
We also understand that no one wants to spend time with teeth ‘missing’, therefore, we are able to provide tooth replacement solutions from day one.

The Implant Denture is brushed morning and night, and cleaned with a denture cleaning agent. The implants are cleaned using a toothbrush in the same way you would brush your teeth.

After years of deliberation I final decided to bite the bullet and actively look into having dental Implants. After some research and recommendations I decided to make an appointment at Infinity Dental Clinic.
My initial appointment was with Dr Patel, who is very friendly and immediately puts you at ease. After an examination and some x-rays he explained to me what he considered the best course of action would be. He then followed that up with a detailed document explaining my options and prices.
I decided to go for same day teeth as I didn’t like the idea of wearing a denture. The procedure itself was almost pain free and I came out with a lovely smile. The days following were not so great, as I’m sure you can imagine there is lots of swelling and bruising this took just over a week to settle down and then I was back to normal.
So yesterday my final teeth were ready and fitted and I absolutely love them. Dr Patel and myself worked on getting the best teeth with a couple of trials. It was easy for me to explain to Dr Patel what I liked and what I didn’t like as he was very easy to talk to and took my opinions into consideration.
