What are the benefits of Dental Implants?
Compared to alternative options, dental implants not only look natural, but they also function like your own teeth. It is even possible to replace all your teeth with a full mouth of fixed dental implants, or an implant retained denture. The benefits of having Dental Implants include:
- Replace loose dentures
- Maintain your bone structure following tooth loss
- Function and feel like natural teeth
- Improve the appearance of your smile
- Improve chewing and speaking
- Preserves the health of adjacent and surrounding teeth
- Provides a long term permanent solution
- Dental Implants at Infinity Dental Clinic have the highest success rates across UK dentistry
Replacing missing teeth is important in order to preserve the health and biological structure of your teeth, gums and jawbone. Without teeth your face can lose its shape and start to look aged. Dental Implants help to retain your natural face structure and shape, which can significantly boost your confidence.
Many of our patients describe their Dental Implants as being even better than their original teeth. They are delighted to bite down on a steak for the first time in years, or to enjoy a refreshingly cool ice cream free from the fear of triggering an ache from sensitive teeth. On the whole, getting Dental Implants will enable you to enjoy your life and the pleasures of a good meal once more.

Fixed Dental Implants to Replace Missing Teeth
Dental Implants are the nearest tooth replacement to your own natural teeth. They provide an excellent solution if you have lost, or are about to lose any of your teeth and also if you are suffering with loose dentures. Traditional dentures can often be loose and will not provide the function or appearance of your natural teeth. With Dental Implants there is no need to compromise – you will have permanent teeth that are fixed in place which do not need to be removed from the mouth. You will be able to bite, chew, speak and laugh as you did with your natural teeth.
What is a Dental Implant?
A dental implant is made up of 2 main sections. An artificial titanium tooth ‘root’ and an aesthetic ceramic crown. This not only results in the appearance and function of a natural tooth, but will also help preserve the underlying bone structure, reducing further bone loss. In addition, dental implants are ‘stand alone’ and do not risk damaging the neighbouring teeth as can happen with partial dentures and dental bridges.
Dental Implants can replace all of your teeth
If you have missing teeth or you are struggling with ill-fitting dentures then Dental Implants are often the best solution. At Infinity Dental Clinic, Leeds, we understand that losing all of your teeth can be a traumatic experience and we will ensure that your treatment journey is as stress‐free as possible. Our team provide the revolutionary Same Day Teeth on dental implants approach to minimise the disruption to patient’s lives during the treatment process.
We will be there to support you all the way. Upon completion of your Dental Implant treatment we will be delighted to hear about all of the foods you have finally managed to eat again and the social occasions you have been able to attend without worrying about your teeth.
Stages of Dental Implant treatment
At Infinity Dental Clinic, we use the latest and most up-to-date digital CBCT Scanners and digital intra oral scanners to provide our patients with the highest standards of dental treatment. We are one of only a few dental practices in the UK to provide the latest Digital Dental techniques enabling us to meticulously plan your treatment to minimise the time you have to spend in the treatment room.
Our team is very passionate and dedicated in providing the highest standards in Implant dentistry.
Following your CBCT scan and consultation with our Implant team, led by Dr Mohsin Patel, you will be provided with a detailed bespoke dental report. This will include the clinical and radiographic findings, the treatment options, timescales, what the procedures will involve and the associated fees.
Manufacture of bespoke surgical stent
A scan of your mouth is taken and used to manufacture a bespoke surgical ‘guide’. This may be required to ensure that each individual implant is carefully placed into the optimum position. Implant positioning is the single most important factor influencing success rates and our team ensure all of our implants are in the best biological position.
Dental Implant placement is a minor oral surgery procedure, performed under the same Local Anaesthesia used in routine dental treatments. As an alternative, we also conduct the treatment using dental sedation if you are anxious about any aspect of the treatment. The Implant is placed into the bone to replicate a natural tooth root. If bone regeneration has been planned at the consultation stage then this is usually done at the same time as the Dental Implant placement. The area is then neatly closed and the implant is allowed to integrate. You will leave with a replacement temporary tooth where the Dental Implant has been placed to ensure you are never left without your tooth.
Dental Implants can take between 6 weeks and 3 months to osseointegrate or ‘bond’ with the underlying bone. You should expect to feel little or no pain during this period.
Once the Dental Implant has integrated, it is ready to have the crown fitted. We are one of only a few dental practices in the UK to provide the latest Digital Dental techniques enabling us to perform Dentistry with optimum precision. Our in house Digital Scanners allows us to provide the highest standards in restorative Implant Dentistry at our clinic.
We work with experienced dental technicians, who specialise in making natural looking teeth for Dental Implants. The new implant supported teeth will be made to blend in naturally with the rest of your teeth. The ‘tooth’ is simply screwed into the Implant. Screw retained implant crowns provide the most precise fit between implant and crown.
What is gum shaping around Dental Implants?
At Infinity Dental Clinic we believe that Dental Implants must look and function like natural teeth. We provide our patients with the highest standards of aesthetic techniques to ensure that the implant teeth mimic natural teeth in every way for both health and aesthetic benefits.
The gum and soft tissues around the Dental Implant needs to be carefully manipulated to provide a similar contour to that seen on the adjacent teeth. Rather than simply accepting a compromised result, in these cases we provide our patients with a gum graft and a prototype Dental Implant restoration. The contour of the gums around the dental implants can be carefully sculpted to mimic natural teeth and provide a ‘seal’ around your dental implant.
This is the true test of a replacement tooth – to look exactly like it’s neighbouring tooth.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you replace multiple missing teeth?
We can use Dental Implants to replace one or several adjacent missing teeth. Larger gaps created by two, three or more missing teeth do not necessarily need an individual implant for each tooth. We can fit three or four teeth on a bridge supported by two Dental Implants. The exact number of Dental Implants required will depend on the results of your consultation with our implant team. Read our blog on how we can replace 2 teeth with 1 dental implant by clicking this link.
Am I suitable for Dental Implants?
Most adults with good general health will be suitable for Dental Implant treatment. Your Implant consultation will include a medical history, thorough clinical examination, photographs, a digital intra-oral scan and x-rays. We will also take a digital CT scan of your mouth for anatomical assessment using our in house CBCT scanner.
Following your assessment, our implant team will calculate the optimum size and position of your Dental Implant. If this demonstrates that the underlying bone is deficient, a simple bone regeneration procedure will be provided alongside your treatment.
We understand that all cases are different, so if you have any questions please contact our treatment coordinator for a complimentary consultation.
What is a bone regeneration procedure?
In most cases this is a routine procedure carried out alongside Dental Implant placement. It involves simply adding bone graft material around the implant, to ‘bulk out’ the underlying bone. This repairs any bone damage caused due to previous infection, gum disease, trauma or extraction. We use Geistlich, the world’s leading bioactive bone graft materials which improve your bone quality and density, allowing for better ‘attachment’ of your dental implant to your bone.
How long does Dental Implant treatment plan take?
At Infinity Dental Clinic we understand that your time is valuable, and so we aim to complete it in as timely manner as possible. Dental implant treatment on average will take 3 months to complete.
We also understand that no one wants to spend time with a ‘gap’, therefore, we are able to provide immediate tooth replacement solutions from day one.
Are Dental Implants painful?
Dental Implant treatment is carried out under local anaesthesia and so we will ensure that you will not be able to feel any pain throughout the appointment. There are no nerves, unlike when treating teeth, and so many patients find it a lot more comfortable than other dental treatments. If patients are worried about the procedure then it can also be carried out under sedation. We will be supporting you every step of the way to minimise any disruption to your life during the treatment period.
How to look after your Dental Implant
Dental Implants will look and feel very much like a natural tooth. You should clean them in the same way as you clean your own natural teeth, our hygienist will demonstrate this to you.
Regular dental check-ups are important to ensure that we can keep your teeth and implants healthy.
How long do Dental Implants last?
Well-maintained Dental Implants can be expected to last for many years and, in most cases, a lifetime. 97% are still there after 20 years.

Having researched one or two dental clinics regarding a complete set of implants in my upper jaw I chose to go to Dr Patel. It proved to be an excellent choice, the technical expertise shown could not have been bettered. Dr Patel is both experienced and an enthusiast so that the procedure proposed was explained and discussed, and any questions I might ask were answered very patiently.
I was assured that I would experience no pain and this proved to be the case – I felt nothing, this from a man who has suffered with previous dentists.
I find that my ability to eat has improved greatly compared to my experience with “false teeth”. The follow-up after completion has been excellent. I can honestly recommend this dental practice.
Infinity Dental Clinic is my number one and I would recommend it to anybody!
Having broken a front tooth & told it would have to be taken out, I was as you can imagine in a bit of a quandary, not knowing how to proceed. I was shown a number of options & took the decision to have an implant fitted. Dr. Patel talked me through the procedure & gave me literature with everything listed how to prepare & how he was going to carry it out, with leaflets with examples of past procedures.
During the long procedure to fit the implant, Dr Patel kept me informed all the time, asking about my welfare, as was the case during the healing period when I would receive a `phone call & also pay regular visits, to the Surgery to check on my condition.
I am very pleased with the very professional way Dr. Patel acted during the whole procedure & recovery time, to make a stressful time very much more relaxed.
Referred to infinity by my usual dentists and WOW!
Looked after from start to finish, everything thoroughly explained, I can honestly say its been a pleasure to visit the dentist. I had fairly extensive work (for me it was) gum reshaping, bone grafting, crown replacements and an implant. Dr Moshin is an artist. I now smile with confidence and don’t feel self conscious when smiling or having pictures taken and have natural looking teeth at last.
If you are thinking about it do it you will not be disappointed.
If you’re looking for a great experience ‘at a dental clinic’, then look no further. The Infinity Dental Clinic have just taken care of me for the last six months or so whilst I underwent dental implants. Dr. Mohsin Patel, his Operations Manager/Treatment Coordinator, Jasmin Wigglesworth, all of the nurses, the hygenist and reception staff were absolutely brilliant. I would highly recommend this clinic – excellent – you’re not treated like a patient – you’re treated like a ‘special person – a V.I.P’ …. well done to all concerned.
Having had a very scary stressful ordeal in the past, I had a severe case of ‘dentist fear’. It wasn’t until I had a big abscess in my mouth that I was forced to go see a dentist. Having not been registered at one for some time due to my fear (10yrs+) my mum recommended her dentist, here. I have to say from start to finish I had the most amazing care and was looked after with such professionalism and they really took me under their wing and made sure I was comfortable with everything from start to finish. Just want to say a massive thank you to Dr Hannah Wilson and all the staff here I’m so happy with the work you have done, and think that we might have lifted some of this fear I had.
