Overwhelming support

As you may have read in our previous blog, we have been developing our new dental laboratory, Dentogenics. On Thursday evening we had our official 'opening' evening.

The lab has been open since November 2023 and I wasn’t planning to have an opening event as such. I never felt an opening event would be something fellow dentists would have the time to attend during a busy week. Dentists have very busy workloads and it can be intense and I am aware of the time challenges my fellow dental professionals face. I was afraid to ask anyone to come to an ‘opening’ event as I really didn’t want to add to the pressures of a busy week.

I have had the pleasure of working with Kate Keating ever since we founded Infinity Dental Clinic in 2016. For those of you who don’t know Kate, she works within the Straumann Implant group and is at the forefront of bringing new products to UK implant dentistry of which the forward thinking implant group Anthogyr is a part of. Kate has also become a close friend of mine and Infinity Dental Clinic over the years. She was a key inspiration that led to us making the ‘jump’ into developing our dental laboratory project over a year ago. She has also inpired us over the years to keep on pushing the boundries with the high level of care we pride ourselves on at Infinity Dental Clinic. Kate encouraged us to have an ‘opening’ event and without that ‘push’ from her, we most likely wouldn’t have had one!

As we sent out invitations to dentists that we have had the pleasure of working with at some point over the years, I was skeptical if anyone would be able to make it. Some of the dentists lived and worked miles away. I was overwhelmed to read so many positive replies. Dentists and colleagues from as far as London and Scotland were willing to travel on a Thursday evening to our opening event. I really didn’t expect this.

It was amazing to have so many dentists support our opening. We are incredibly proud to be developing a state of the art dental laboratory that is pushing the boundaries with what is epected from a dental laboratory. It was great to see so many dentists share their enthusiasm about what we are creating and what our team are so passionate about. As I reflect on the evening, I am overwhelmed by the support we have recieved from fellow dentists and dental partners. Being so generous with your time is a priceless gift and I will forever be grateful for the support shown by our dental community.

Our team at both Infinity Dental Clinic and Dentogenics share the same ethos. We want to strive for excellence in both the work we provide and the service we deliver. This is a ethos that is shared by so many dentists and I was delighted to see this at the opening evening.
